The latest delivery by United States Air Force C17 Globemaster III aircraft at RAAF Base Richmond in Sydney in July brings the Australian Army’s UH-60M Black Hawk fleet to eight.
Dubbed “Wilbur Air”, the “e-airline” will have priority access to the Skyportz vertiport network, with a “range of aircraft partners” to provide services including short- and long-range passenger transport and heavy-lift drone deliveries.
The upgrades are expected to allow greater training opportunities to conduct enhanced land and air operations between Australia and the United States militaries, at the Bradshaw Field Training Area in the NT.
