On February 3, Flight BA886 was scheduled to depart London Heathrow (LHR) at 09:55, bound for Bucharest (OTP), when it suffered an incident. The aircraft, an Airbus A320-200 registered G-EUUB, was unable to complete the flight after the captain mistakenly activated the emergency slide while opening the door.

While Boeing 747 aircraft in passenger service are somewhat few and far between these days, examples of the older 747-200 variant are even more so.One particularly interesting example active in recent years has been a testbed plane belonging to Rolls-Royce. The British engine manufacturer had a 45-year-old 747-200B on its books used to test turbofans on flights out of Tucson in Arizona.
