Internet access restored in Bangladesh

Internet connectivity appears to have been restored following widespread protests in Bangladesh that have resulted in the resignation – and flight – of the country’s prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

Blocking internet access as a tool of political control is considered a violation of human rights.
