According to the carrier, passengers expecting to travel from Colombus, Ohio, to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport , Florida, on Friday morning were evacuated from their Spirit Airlines flight on the taxiway before leaving the northern state due to a mechanical issue.
