Rolls-Royce Retires Iconic 45-Year-Old Boeing 747-200

While Boeing 747 aircraft in passenger service are somewhat few and far between these days, examples of the older 747-200 variant are even more so.One particularly interesting example active in recent years has been a testbed plane belonging to Rolls-Royce. The British engine manufacturer had a 45-year-old 747-200B on its books used to test turbofans on flights out of Tucson in Arizona.
