Boeing’s beleaguered next-generation widebody program is stalling out again. In recent months, the outlook slid from a hopeful debut date in mid-2026, to the end of 2026.But now Bloomberg has reported that the first 777X delivery has been pushed out to 2027.
Boeing has secured a deal with Cathay Pacific that will see the Hong Kong carrier and oneworld member commit to buying another 14 777-9 aircraft. This latest deal builds on the carrier’s existing order for 777-9s.
