The USA’s publicly-owned rail operator, Amtrak, has announced the addition of a new daily service between the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego in California, bringing the number of daily round-trip services to thirteen.
At least two dozens people were killed and several others injured when two high-speed passenger trains derailed and collided on Sunday evening near Adamuz in southern Spain. The crash forced the suspension of rail traffic between Madrid and Andalucía.
