Cebu Pacific will increase its flights to Manila from three to four times weekly in December, using its fleet of A330-900neos.

The former Transport Minister also praised the regional carrier and said it was brave to launch capital city jet services against Qantas and Virgin.

The site will serve both Australia and New Zealand and aims to eventually boost the accuracy of GPS signals to as little as 10 centimetres.

The extra service, which was initially due to launch in November, means the carrier will now fly to the Queensland capital 25 times per week in total.
