EVA Air’s Fleet Of 9 Boeing 777Fs Adding AeroSHARK Riblets

AeroSHARK riblet film from Lufthansa Technik is gaining more fans, with Taiwan’s EVA Air being the latest to modify 777s with the technology.

Boeing and National Airlines opened up the Farnborough International Airshow with the first order for four Boeing 777F aircraft.

Emirates and Boeing have announced an order for five 777Fs worth $1 billion.

Prior to the Turkish Airlines order, Boeing had 53 gross orders for the 777F, which does not include orders for the 777-8F.

The company plans to greatly expand its cargo capacity, including ten new cargo aircraft, eight of which are the Airbus A350Fs.

Qatar Airways Cargo will pivot to operating the Boeing 777F, which will include the 777-8F, once Boeing delivers the 777X derivative in 2027.

The cargo aircraft was able to take advantage of seasonal tailwinds, significantly shortening its journey time across the Pacific.
