The state of Lower Saxony in north western Germany has placed the largest ever order for battery trains with rolling stock manufacturer Siemens Mobility.
The Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP) has included the 90000 Series commuter train that was recently introduced on the country’s Tobu Tojo line in its Good Design Best 100 Award 2026.
