With the help of train operator Lumo, the Discovery Museum in Newcastle-upon-Tyne has raised the money it needs to complete a new play space for children aged under 5.
In the early hours of this morning (Friday 28 March), London North Eastern Railway (LNER) ran an Azuma train on a test run from Leeds to London St Pancras and back.
New signs are to be installed along the surviving parts of the 1825 Stockton-to-Darlington line to inform passengers of the historical significance of the line.
