Logistics operator Contship Italia reported growth across most metrics in 2025 compared with 2024. Its majority shareholder, EUROKAI, noted in its annual report a 3.5% increase in throughput, with total volumes reaching just over 1.71 million TEU.
Intermodal terminals at Melzo and Marcianise are now connected by a direct intermodal flow, provided by Hannibal, the rail container logistics arm of Contship Italia Group.
