Following its announcement last month, Network Rail has confirmed that it will carry out work on the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) between Leeds and York over the Christmas period and for the whole of January.
As announced earlier this year, the Polar Express will run from London Euston this Christmas, and it has now arrived at the station ahead of its first outing tomorrow.
