Extremist protests following a mass stabbing at a children’s party in Southport, England have spiralled into chaos as more than 80 arrests have been made in more than 20 cities.

Staff from a nearby nursery have laid flowers and a heart-shaped message decorated with children’s handprints at Hart Street.
