The UK is vital to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. It serves 17 airports there, more than in any other country in its network and most other carriers. It provides the regional connectivity that British Airways, in particular, does not. In several instances, it gives the area’s only access to the ever-popular Amsterdam and the wider world, somewhat offset by the UK being relatively small and having other airports within relative proximity.
