Analysis: Why Sun Country Airlines Shifted To A Low-Cost Model

Sun Country Airlines has transitioned to become an ultra-low-cost airline after its former business model was obviously not working and after being purchased by Apollo Global Management. Even though Sun Country is now an ultra-low-cost airline, some quirks in its business model and services set it apart from other US-based airlines. In the first quarter of 2024, it was reported that Sun Country had generated a record revenue.
