Australian Aviation understands that passengers on a QantasLink flight from Kingscote – an unscreened airport – were able to enter Adelaide Airport without proper screening at around 11am.
A record high of 4.32 million international passengers passed through its terminals in the first quarter of 2025, up 3.9 per cent on the same quarter in 2024, as well as 6.08 million domestic and regional passengers for a total of 10.4 million.
The fees have been at the centre of a row between Auckland Airport and its airline customers, with the airport arguing that upcoming price hikes are necessary to fund the NZ$3.9 billion integration of its domestic and international terminals.
