JetBlue Sues Florida Department Of Revenue Days After Announcing Tallahassee Exit

JetBlue Airlines has announced it will depart the Floridian airport of Tallahassee in late October. The carrier has now filed a lawsuit against the Florida Department of Transport after accusing the state of wronging assessing the airline owed an extra $631,000 in corporate income tax between 2019 and 2021. JetBlue alleges that the state has calculated tax based on the geographical area, which reaches much further than the state’s actual borders.
