Despite concerns that Boeing would have a quiet Farnborough International Airshow, the US planemaker is throwing that idea out the window as it announced yet another order on Day 1 of the show. Japan Airlines became the fourth Boeing customer of the day, signing an order for up to 20 more Dreamliners for its fleet, with the order being split between ten firm orders and ten options.

The Belgian federal government has revealed its intention to effectively ban the Boeing 777 at night at the countrys biggest airport, Brussels Zaventem.This particularly affects the airports largest cargo airline, DHL, which uses a variety of cargo aircraft for its operation. The Belgian Federal government instead prefers other aircraft that, in actual fact, include the much older Airbus A300, an aircraft that is generally considered louder and less efficient from an environmental standpoint.
