As travel patterns change in the post-pandemic world, airlines are quickly adding capacity or cutting services depending on demand and the profitability of their operations rather than continuing routes to see if they come good. One of those structural changes pertains to the Japanese market, where the drop in the value of the Yen makes inbound travel more attractive but has slammed the brakes on outbound travel by Japanese customers.
