easyJet, a United Kingdom-based low-cost carrier, has announced that it will open a new base in Newcastle, the UK, promising to support 1,200 jobs, according to its estimates, which are based on the presumption that each UK-based aircraft directly supports 400 jobs and adds further gross value added (GVA).
