United Airlines and American Airlines are among the seven airlines eligible to apply for new flights from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Both have already applied to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for new routes out of the airport, hoping to give new nonstop connections to passengers, if approved.
