The oneworld alliance is officially celebrating its 25th anniversary since American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, and Qantas established it on February 1, 1999. The alliance was formed to improve global connectivity and flexibility for passengers, rewarding frequent flyer miles with special benefits across the members.
