Air India is set to deploy its flagship Airbus A350 aircraft on two of its services to London from Indias capital city, Delhi. This service upgrade will come into effect starting September 2024, and it will include not only the airlines newest widebody aircraft but also upgraded interior cabins.

Heading into 2026, Air India continues to operate an incredibly diverse fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft with narrowbodies and widebodies from the European planemaker, and widebodies from the American planemaker. There are 187 aircraft in the mainline fleet with another 100-plus additional jets with regional subsidiary Air India Express. The mainline fleet has grown significantly since our last fleet video on Air India, largely thanks to the acquisition of Vistara and the absorption of its fleet into Air India’s operations.
