How two of India’s biggest operators are managing their debts

Nokia’s Indian unit, Nokia Solutions and Networks India Pvt Ltd, has reportedly sold its 0.95% stake in Vodafone Idea (Vi) to a group of global investment banks in a bulk deal worth INR7.85 billion (US$92 million).

MTN Group warned that its annual profits could plunge by 90% due to the devaluation of the Nigeria’s currency affecting its MTN Nigeria unit. 

State-owned Indian operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has reportedly defaulted on loan repayments of over INR83 billion about (US$971.5 million) to multiple banks.
