CamGSM earmarks US$180m for network expansion this year

Malaysia’s second 5G operator U Mobile said on Tuesday it has selected Chinese vendors Huawei and ZTE as key tech partners in rolling out its next-gen 5G network with the ambitious goal of achieving 80% coverage within the first year of deployment.

Orange has raised its full-year targets after its Africa and Middle East unit was once again recognised as the group’s primary growth engine.

Airtel Africa reported profit gains subscriber growth as the group continues to battle against currency devaluation on the continent.
