Ares agrees $2.9bn acquisition of Infinity’s 50,000-railcar leasing business

The transaction follows another major North American railcar leasing acquisition earlier this year, when GATX and Brookfield purchased a fleet of approximately 101,000 railcars from Wells Fargo.
