The world’s largest airline by total number of flights and daily departures, American Airlines has cut a total of nine Boeing 777-200ER routes since January 2025, as the airline replaces a number of these services with the newer Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The routes affected are from key American hubs such as Miami International Airport (MIA), Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and New York JFK Airport (JFK).
