A Tesla owner called the scene very sad, as it stranded drivers right after the site’s expansion. Repairs started fast, with some units back online by Monday, amid a wave of similar thefts disrupting rail services too.
The large-scale vandalism highlights rising copper thefts across Australia, where high repair costs far outweigh the metal’s value.
