Memorial Day weekend is one of the busiest traveling periods in the United States. Judging by the crowds at the airport, it is likely to shatter all records this year. Millions of passengers passed through TSA checkpoints over the last few days, although there were some service disruptions due to dangerous storms in some parts of the country. Overall, airlines were busy ferrying passengers over the busy weekend.

Heading into 2026, Air India continues to operate an incredibly diverse fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft with narrowbodies and widebodies from the European planemaker, and widebodies from the American planemaker. There are 187 aircraft in the mainline fleet with another 100-plus additional jets with regional subsidiary Air India Express. The mainline fleet has grown significantly since our last fleet video on Air India, largely thanks to the acquisition of Vistara and the absorption of its fleet into Air India’s operations.
