Amazon Cargo Plane Overruns Runway at Miami Airport, Killing Five

The 21 Air Flight 7598, operating for Amazon from San Juan, Puerto Rico, overran the diagonal runway around 2 p.m. Sunday, coming to rest near an Amazon warehouse after striking vehicles, including some Teslas, and igniting a massive fire.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue sent over 60 units; officials reported five dead and five injured, three critically, with fatalities possibly among crew or ground personnel.

The FAA grounded all operations, prompting delays and cancellations, while the NTSB and FAA launch an investigation into the 32-year-old plane’s crash.
