Currently, there is an ongoing debate about the future of the attack helicopter. Perhaps surprisingly, most talk about the attack helicopter’s alleged obsolescence does not stem so much from the threat posed by enemy fighter jets, but rather from the proliferation of MANPADS and the emergence of uncrewed systems able to fill much of the role.
