The Hawker Harrier was the first operational Vertical/Short Takeoff and Landing (V/STOL) ground-attack fighter aircraft produced by the British aerospace company Hawker Siddeley. It was developed from the experimental Hawker XV-6A Kestrel and introduced on April 1st, 1969.
