The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is the latest clean sheet design produced by the American manufacturer. The program that birthed the aircraft was launched in April 2004 as the 7E7 and was meant to replace the Boeing 767. Japans All Nippon Airways (ANA) became the aircrafts launch partner after ordering 50 aircraft.
