Steam locomotive 80097 completes line-up for Severn Valley gala

The fourth and final guest locomotive for the Severn Valley Railway’s Autumn Steam Gala has been announced as BR Standard Class 4 Tank No. 80097.

Work progresses on Bury based steam locomotives 80097 and 46428

The Bury Standard 4 Group, which is restoring Standard Class 4 2-6-4 No. 80097 and Ivatt Class 2 2-6-0 No. 46428, has issued its latest update.

The Bury Standard 4 group has released an update on the work it is carrying out on two steam locomotives, numbers 80097 and 46428.

BR Standard 4MT No. 80097 was taken out of service in 2022 following major boiler issues.
