An Air India flight to the US had to make an unscheduled stop in Iceland due to a medical emergency onboard. The flight was operated by a Boeing 777 aircraft, which the airline uses primarily for its flights to North America. Air India’s long-haul 777 services have seen previous diversions as well, either due to medical emergencies or technical glitches.
