Rare steam locomotive whistle donated to Northern Ireland railway

Northern Ireland’s Downpatrick and County Down Railway (DCDR) has revealed that a visitor has donated an historic whistle to its museum.

Down Cathedral in Northern Ireland has donated £2,650 to the Downpatrick & County Down Railway from a fundraising gala concert held in June.

The Downpatrick and County Down Railway’s ex-CIÉ BR Steam Heating Van No. 3189 came to an end yesterday (14th May).
