China Eastern Airlines is set to make a considerable investment in its widebody twinjet fleet, having filed an order with Airbus on the Shanghai stock exchange for 25 planes from the A330neo family. These aircraft are said to have a combined list price of some $9.35 billion. However, airlines often receive considerable discounts, especially when buying in bulk, so the true cost will likely be lower.
