Qantas has confirmed the launch date for its hotly anticipated nonstop service between Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) and London Heathrow Airport (LHR). The carrier says the first flights under the Project Sunrise program will begin in October 2027, and the route will immediately become the world’s longest scheduled commercial flight, at up to 22 hours.
