A commercial pilot has filed a safety report with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) after claiming they were nearly blinded on approach to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) due to powerful lights from a sporting event held at the White House. The pilot said the lights were “ten times worse” than any laser disruption event they had experienced in their career, and they struck during one of the most critical phases of flight.
