The Government has provided $9.5 billion over the forward estimates, and $16.5 billion over 10 years, for projects that improve productivity, liveability, and sustainability.
The agreements increase the number of active operators on the South African rail network from one to 12 and are expected to add 24 million tonnes of annual freight capacity.
