Yesterday, Hong Kong International Airport released its December operating statistics, which also show the full-year 2023 passenger performance. The figures are a tale in two parts – one showing an impressive recovery from 2022, but the other reveals a fairly grim picture of just how severely the airline suffered from the pandemic and the political unrest that preceded it.
