Every year, millions of visitors from across the globe visit the island of St. Maarten, a Caribbean paradise split between French and Dutch control. Undoubtedly, a significant number of those who choose to visit the island do so because of the legendary Maho Beach (or Sunset Beach as the locals call it), a sandy strip of land just off the end of the runway at Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM).
