  1. Please return DO NOT dissect the Pilliga woodlands by constructing the Inland Railway through it. The Pilliga is the last significant woodlands on the western slopes on NSW and is habitat for several endangered species of fauna and flora. The original route was supposed to be through Dubbo, Coonamble utilizing existing corridors and a shorter new alignment between Coonamble and Wee Waa then along the existing corridor through Narrabri to Moree. All the above towns have agricultural industries that would benefit from the Inland Railway. Dubbo is also a railway centre with proposed new rail maintenance facilities including a new maintenance facility for the NSW Regional train fleet. Dubbo could become an important rail centre for the Inland Railway as well.
