Adif and CEL sign agreement to promote greater use of rail in supply chains

The operation covers north–south container flows within Poland and connects inland terminals with the port of Gdańsk.

The route is Sweden’s only regular train ferry connection and provides a rail link between Sweden and Germany outside the Öresund fixed connection.

Czech rail freight operator ČD Cargo has appointed Radim Ječný as Chairman of the Board, effective 1 February 2026. The move comes as European rail freight faces falling volumes, rising costs and structural pressure.
