American Airlines is the world’s largest carrier in multiple ways, including for passenger numbers. In 2025, the oneworld member carried 224 million passengers. This was its second-best year to date, behind 2024, as traffic fell by 1%.

Delta Air Lines will soon end flights on its highest-capacity equipment: the 339-seat Airbus A350. These airframes have 30 business class seats (2-2-2), along with 63 with extra legroom seats (3-3-3). And then there are 246 seats in the main cabin (also 3-3-3). Only its ex-LATAM aircraft had this configuration.
