Six major rail freight operators have signed an agreement to launch “Track Together,” a mutual-aid operational scheme designed to reduce congestion on the Port Railway Line in Rotterdam.
The industry association said the decline follows reductions in previous years and reflects both weaker demand and increasing cost pressures on operators.
The service will operate with an initial frequency of two trains per week in both directions, enhancing connectivity of Slovakian terminal with Polish Baltic ports.
Polish rail freight operator PKP Cargo is transporting construction materials for the East Shield (Tarcza Wschód) programme, which aims to strengthen approximately 700 km of Poland’s borders with Belarus and Russia.
