Six major rail freight operators have signed an agreement to launch “Track Together,” a mutual-aid operational scheme designed to reduce congestion on the Port Railway Line in Rotterdam.
Group executive coal and bulk Patrick O’Donnell said Pacific National has a track record of delivering what matters for its customers, with rail providing the most efficient mode of transport to move grain.
The fleet, equipped with Innofreight “RockTainer ORE” containers, will handle around 1.8 million tonnes of iron ore annually from the Erzberg site in Styria.
