Polish rail starts 2026 with mixed results

Czech national carrier České dráhy (ČD) is seeking suppliers for new mobile train driver simulators as part of a wider effort to expand training capacity and modernise driver education.

The company also confirmed a sharp increase in planned repair volumes for 2026 and preparations for upcoming regulatory changes.

Railcare’s board has decided to wind down its UK operations following a sustained decline in contracting volumes. The process begins immediately, with existing projects to be completed.
