The tests were carried out under Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking within the TRANS4M-R project and focused on mechanical performance, wear and operational safety.
The agreements were announced on 22 July 2026 and are contingent, where related to the merger settlement, on Surface Transportation Board approval and closing of the transaction.
